If people felt disconnected and without support pre-COVID, chances are those feelings were magnified and heightened during COVID.
Leaders were expected not only to lead, but also to connect their teams virtually, continue to support their teams both emotionally and financially and continue to deliver to their clients consistently and dependably without missing a beat.
Wearing all the hats and being responsible for pulling all the pieces together – and holding them together still almost 3 years later – has worn us down.
Although COVID may feel like it is in the rear-view mirror, the way we operate, and the legacy and learnings of the past few years still impact us every day and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

Our dream is to build a community embedded on fertile ground that will allow us to redefine what leadership and entrepreneurship can truly be. We believe that it is not meant to be a solo endeavour or one where we alone are responsible for all the successes and all the failures around us. True leadership and entrepreneurship is about uplifting and building a collective resilience that creates a groundswell where we carry each other when necessary and where we let each other shine in the glory of our own accomplishments. As humans we strive for connection, it is necessary for our survival.
To lead meaningfully, let’s start by creating a community where we can find resilience in validation, community in sharing and listening, and connection in holding space for each other.
HOW IT ALL STARTED
our story
Larimar Strategies started as an idea in 2015. Striking a balance between following our own passions and our dream of starting our own business together, and our passion for supporting our clients as they focus on the needs of their own business, Larimar became a reality.
As we launched Larimar Strategies, we (Natalia and Jenn) realized right away that together we had what many entrepreneurs and leaders did not. We had each other.
Time and again when we connect with business professionals the recurring theme that we hear is that in many cases leaders feel alone. They feel that they must lead without showing vulnerability and they must constantly exude an appearance calm and control even when in reality they are not feeling it.
Keeping up that appearance can be exhausting.
Enter 2020 and COVID. Leaders were expected not only to lead but also to connect their teams virtually, continue to support their teams both emotionally and financially and continue to deliver to their clients consistently and dependably without missing a beat.The more we thought about how we could support other leaders we began to realize that it was time for us all to find our way…. together.
We believe that connectivity is not the only component required to create connection, we believe that true connection can only happen when you build COMMUNITY.
